Mens' Fellowship

The Mens' Fellowship meet regularly for social events, sharing fellowship with each other. Their activities range from Video Evenings, to Treasure Hunts, to Quiz Nights, to leading Sunday services.

Welcome Break

Welcome Break was another outreach initiative started in 1995, providing a simple, cheap lunch each Wednesday. The cost of the soup and sandwich lunch has not risen in ten years and must surely be the best value in town for the regular clients.

St Cuthberts' Housing Association

One of the churches that joined to form Central URC as we now it today was St Cuthberts.

In 1961, a group of members, including the minister, Rev. Ian Harries Rees, set up St. Cuthberts Housing Association, a charitable trust which is still being run by members of this congregation at Central. It provides secure accommodation for four people, two of whom are currently involved in this congregation. It is also able to give considerable financial help each year to several charities for the homeless.
